Terror Quota

Two powerful bomb blasts ripped across Hyderabad yesterday.Around 40 people died and scores injured.Tragic weekend for the victims and a hectic one for the media. As is customary politicians visited the place, gave the usual sound bytes and left. Why does the media need to interview them?.They could play the same thing, they blurted out on earlier occasions.Any person who can spot the difference between the condolence messages needs to be awarded.He/She without an iota of doubt possesses the best pair of eyes and ears in the country!!!!!!.

Within 24 hours the chief minister announced relief packages for the victims.Even shehenshah Akbar would have been proud with such speedy dispensation of justice.wouldn't he?But by the Congress's own logic shouldn't the relief be based on quotas???.After all they project themselves as the champions of justice and secularism.Even the injured, should be hospitalised based on quotas, and it goes without saying that the doctors concerned would be treating them based on their caste.Where are the Ram Vilas Paswan's and the Meira Kumar's??Ram Vilas paswan suggested that there should be quotas in the judiciary and Meira kumar said that there should be quotas for entrepreneurs form backward castes. In all fairness they should come out and say treatment should be based on quotas.Shouldn't they????They wouldn't in their wildest dreams.Like everybody else, they know very well that tragedy knows no religion or caste. The bomb cannot distinguish between castes. It knows only one thing and that's it,period.

The Union Home minister Shivraj Patil addressed the media, the following day.Considering what he said,Ridiculous is an understatement."It happens like this only,we cannot help it.Our condolences to the deceased".Why does it happen like this only Mr Patil? When you can lose an election and still become a union home minister anything is possible. When your an outcast from your own constituency and you still go onto become a union minister, alas elections have lost its significance in our country.I agree the bombs were meant to destroy soft targets and nothing can be done to patrol such places. However Lumbini park wasn't another chat shop.Surely there was a security lapse there.

At the end of the day,India being a nuclear power does not help. Its sustenance along with substance which matters not just secularism and quotas!!!!!!

Left Right Left.....

The nuclear deal with the US was supposed to be the highlight of the UPA government's achievements. This was heralded as a new beginning for India. One that would guarantee enough nuclear fuel to catapult India into the big league.

Alas, most love stories have sad endings. This one is no different. The left has made sure that the land mark deal is either stalled or the government gets booted out.First of all the deal was always questionable. The very fact that the deal was not tabled in parliament and the opposition not taken into confidence underlines the shady nature of it.

The left has suddenly become the country's savior.Their demand is not to make the deal operational. The left needs to understand that by wearing a white cloak ,they aren't going to become saints. As everybody knows the left has a problem with the US and not with the 123 deal.
The left's anti US stance has been well know from time immemorial.if the same deal were to be signed with China,I'm sure the deal would have been operational long back.Afterall the CPI in India considers the Chinese as their God's.Mao Zedong has been relegated to the textbooks in China, but the left still swears by his communist methods. These are the same money laundering leftists who during the 1962 Indo-China war collected funds on behalf of China.Today by rejecting the Nuclear deal they claim to be saving India from a catastrophe."If the left has a future in India,India has no future left".

Jokers cannot run a circus. At best they can add some spunk to the proceedings. The Congress deserves this kind of treatment. After all they were the ones who wanted outside support from the left to run this shaky coalition. If the nuclear deal were to signed during the NDA regime I'm sure they would have handled it better. All this squabbling between the allies would not have come out in the open.Atleast a consensus would be reached.

They say it not about making a deal, its all about cutting it...............
Is the UPA listening?????????????

Names.....

Imagine a world without names. One where we lived without any identity.People would be identified through their face, paunch, hair or the lack of it.Difficult to comprehend ain't it?

According to me the most fascinating thing in the world are the names of people.Everybody has one. Some are based on mythology, others on places and most others are clueless, regarding the origin of their names.

Lets analyse some of the names of heads of state or people who are involved with governance

Musharraf, i guess got it since they had a premonition that he would have a thick mush.
I'm not too sure if George Bush got it for the same reason. He would have been better off with George Puss.
Saddam Hussein was almost on target. He would have been better off with Sudden Hussein.Even he wouldn't have dreamt that he would get caught like a rat in a hole. Condoleeza Rice should have been Condom Liza, for all the trash she speaks.Grow up Condi....
Manmohan Singh has the correct name since he is always singing praises of Sonia Gandhi.
Ghulam Nabi Azad
is contradictory. How could anybody be a Ghulam and also Azad?.
Donald Rumsfeld would have been better as Bumsfield after he was unceremoniously given the boot.
Bill Clinton got it dead right. After the service,he got a big bill from Monica Lewinsky.
Vladimir Putin has put his foot in the mouth by claiming that the North pole belongs to Russia.
Fidel Castro lives on and no,he isn't castrated.
Sheikh Hasina is on a shaky ground as usual.

Whatever be the accomplishments of these people, their names will stay.
"Names as they say lie in the ears of the beholder"...........

Cricketing rollercoaster

The Middle of the tour has always been some sort of a honeymoon for the Indian cricket team.
They truly believe that the sweetest part of any fruit is in the middle.
The initial part of the tour is always one of apprehension.A lot of doubts and aspersions are cast on them.Questions are also raised regarding their commitment, fitness and form.
Truly, baptism by fire for the team.

As the tour progresses, the Indian team finds itself in a commanding position mostly by winning the test or salvaging a draw. The same media who until then trashed every move of the players starts singing paeans about their heroics and sacrifice. The best moments of every match are shown repeatedly along with the latest Hindi songs.Marketing gets a whole meaning. The media in its eagerness, could milk a cow until it loses its udder!!!!!!

Now with the fruit almost over,so are team India's chances.Looks like they are following some kind of dogma by losing the decider and ultimately settling for a tame draw or a humiliating defeat.the media goes GA GA all over again and the players go into hiding for sometime.
I HOPE all this changes when India meets England in the penultimate match.
Hope is what i would stick to because in case they lose they are HOPE-less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
